Well I went back to read my blog about this race last year and can't believe that I had forgotten how difficult it was!  Today was a bit of a bonker race, about 15 mins slower than last year.  Not sure if that was because of the heat (ran out of water, was dizzy, thought I was on another planet at one point, don't ask) or because I ran more races this spring, or just because I ate svenhard pastries for breakfast, could be it)  all in all a tough race with total ascent 4313 ft and descent of 4372 ft,  fast mile was mile 5 at 6:58 and slow was mile 11 on hill from hell, a soul shuddering 23:47.  delusions, now I know what it would be like to perish in the desert with no water, horrible, horrible.  I need a hydration pack or something for these I guess!  Next time, next time.  will post my place, etc, when they post 'em.

Glad you are alive Moz Def. Nice finish despite the dehydration. Svenhards are a nice prerace meal though, so nice work. http://skylinemarathon.com/

I know you may not want to run again and it is a way to go but here is the link to the Huntsville trail marathon in August. Inaugural one. Think I will do it. Oreo is scared, but there is seriously no shame in me beating him. Haha

Wow! That's quite a picture you paint. Way to push through. Hope your feeling rested and better.

Mozzer... you are a star!! So many factors go into a race it's not even funny. Good times. Those xterras are bruisers.. The race Gman is scarred of is the xterra enduro at Wheeler Creek...Do it!!
