After work run in the cold, cold sun.  That rhymes!  Ankle felt better, able to maintain a better pace.  Around 8 min/mile.  Last day of work tomorrow for a long weekend!

sweet little trail run on pacific coastline, under goldengate bridge, very sweet.  like fine porcelain, hot lamb, like mother used to make, he's stealing father's shoes...

that was totally wicked.  hardest and most fun race I have ever done!  trail running is sweet, a great change-up from the endless miles of asphalt!  Felt pretty good overall. Ankle stayed in check.  Total elevation climbed was 4016 feet! Total descent was 3865 ft! Crazy.  Here are the splits: 8:56, 8:40, 8:28, 11.58 (637 ft climb), 9:46, 10:03, 9:35, 9:26, 18:59 (999 ft climb CRAZY), 4:35 last .64.  Tacked on a backtrack 2 miles plus after race.  I didn't do myself any favors by walking 18 holes yesterday, and running 7  on fri but I felt pretty good.

still recovering a bit from xterra, left knee and calf fairly sore.  Awesome heat to run in, 85 degrees and HUMID, even this short distance I sucked down a water bottle and a cytomax.  Love summer!

well, haven't gone that far for some time.  overall feel ok, very happy that my ankle felt fine today.  could I make it another 6 miles, gutting it out?  I guess we'll find out mates!  avg: 8:54. Took  3:00:55.  some pretty good up and down the first 9 miles, then a flat and slight descent. splits, 9:30, 9:19, 9:21, 9:15, 9:34, 10:02 big hill, 8:22, 9:02, 9:18, 8:16, 8:24, 8:35, 8:24, 8:33, 8:20, 8:24, 8:36, 8:42, 8:53, 8:55, 2:58 last .30.  I was starting to slow down no doubt last few, I took powergel and 2 shot bloks which were life savers, had some cytomax, could have used some H2O, especially toward the end, started getting totally hungry.  Oh well, book over now kids.  Doesn't a brew sound good?
